The Board of Directors of GEB S.A. ESP elected its president, vice-president and the composition of its committees

Bogotá D.C., February 14, 2020. The Board of Directors of Grupo Energía Bogotá, at its special session held on February 14, 2020, elected its President and Vice President, as well as the members of its Committees.
Dr. Andres Escobar Arango will be the President of the Board. He was elected as an independent member of the Board of Directors on January 31, 2020 at the special session No. 084 of the General Shareholders' Meeting.
Dr. Andrés Escobar is an Economist from the Universidad de los Andes, holds an MBA in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes, an MBA in Economics from the New York University (USA) and is a PhD Candidate in Economics from the New York University (USA).
The Board of Directors also appointed Dr. Martha Veleño, an independent member of the Board of Directors, as Vice President. Dr. Martha Veleño is an attorney from the Universidad Santo Tomás. She is a specialist in Administrative Law from the Universidad del Rosario and a specialist in Constitutional Law from the Universidad de Salamanca.
Similarly, the Board of Directors approved the formation of the Financial and Investment Committee, the Audit and Risk Committee, the Compensation Committee and the Corporate Governance Committee of the Board of Directors, all of which are presided over by an independent member and made up of a majority of independent members, as follows
With these decisions, Grupo Energía Bogotá continues to make progress in strengthening its corporate governance, in which it is a reference in the country, with the adoption of 92,6% of the recommendations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in this area.
