EEB is awarded a new electric expansion project that will benefit the city of Cali.

Bogotá, Colombia, 28 February 2012

Bogotá, 28 February 2012. Empresa de Energía de Bogotá –EEB, was awarded the Invitation to bid UPME-01-2010 Alférez Substation 230 kV and related transmission lines, a project that is part of the expansion of the National Transmission System and that will reinforce the electricity service in the southwest of the country.
The decision made by the Energy Mining Planning Unit - UPME (for its Spanish acronym), implies the design, acquisition of supplies, civil works, mounting, tests, start up and maintenance of the Alferez substation and related transmission lines to connect the substation to the Yumbo-San Bernando line at 230 thousand Watts.

With this award and the Armenia Substation during the previous week, Empresa de Energía de Bogotá continued its growing process supported by the Board of Directors and its shareholders. Likewise, it strengthens its presence in the country's energy sector while at the same time it makes progress in its task to generate development and well being for the Colombian people.
