Grupo Energía de Bogotá moves forward with communication plans for Project UPME 04 of 2014 - South-west Reinforcement

Bogotá, November 01, 2016. With the purpose of communicating and reporting on the progress of the Project UPME 04-2014 South-west Reinforcement, Grupo Energía de Bogotá presented to the Association of Municipalities of the Cultural Coffee-Growing Area (PCC) the commencement of the Environmental Impact Survey (EIA) in the municipalities and rural districts of the area of influence of the Medellín - La Virginia Project.

The corporate team gathered with the Board of Directors of this entity that brings together 51 municipalities of the departments of Risaralda, Caldas, Quindio and Valle del Cauca.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Association, the major of the Municipality of Neira, Marino Murillo Franco, as well as the Majors of Filandia, Marsella, Argelia, Calarcá and the Tourism Department of Balboa.

The Project layout sought to minimize the impact on this area, which boasts great cultural and economic importance for the region;; reason why the intervention will be limited only to the buffer zone of the PCC. It is worth noting that EEB previously carried out this process with entities such as the Ministry of Culture and the National Federation of Coffee Growing.

Project UPME 04 of 2014 is a country project, awarded via public tender to Grupo de Energía de Bogotá, this project is currently running in the surveying and design stage, and is expected to be commissioned by 2018.
