EEB’s ‘AAA’ local rating, the highest rating at national level, reaffirmed by Fitch Ratings

- Fitch Ratings maintained EEB’s international credit rating in investment grade with “stable” perspective.
- Fitch also reaffirmed EEB’s local rating at ‘AAA(col)’, the highest rating at national level. These ratings reflect the steady generation of cash flow and diversification of the investment portfolio of Grupo Energía de Bogotá in low-risk energy assets.
- Furthermore, Fitch Ratings ratified the international credit rating of its TGI branch at BBB, with stable perspective.
Bogotá D.C., October 19, 2016. Fitch Ratings reaffirmed the AAA credit rating of Empresa de Energía de Bogotá S.A. ESP and its branch Transportadora de Gas Internacional S.A. E.S.P. (TGI) in the investment grade category. EEB’s financial performance has been solid in relation to the stability of the company’s cash flow generation, strong business position, robust liquidity and the leverage expectation in line with the rating category. These ratings also reflect the company’s new growth strategies.
