TGI Bond demand exceeded six times its offer
Bogotá, Colombia, 15 March 2012
- With a demand amounting to US$4,8 billion, exceeding by 6.4 times the amount offered, Transportadora de Gas Internacional S.A. ESP. (TGI) carried out an international bond issuance today amounting to US$750 million.
- These resources will be used to substitute the international bond issuance made by the company in 2007.
- This substitution of foreign debt will represent annual savings amounting to US$28.5 million of interests payment.
These securities were placed for ten years, expiring on 2022 and will pay interests twice a year in arrears. Citigroup and Credit Suisse were the banks leading this operation.
The closing rate of this new issuance was 5.70%, which is historically low for a Colombian corporate issues, only 343 basic points above the US Treasury reference and 242 basic points above the reference of Colombia sovereign bonds.
