Empresa de Energía de Bogotá receives again certification for its Integrated Management System (SGI)

The new certification process to the company's IMS (SGI for its Spanish acronym) under standard of quality, environmental management and occupational health for energy transmission business and shareholding portfolio was undertaken by Bureau Veritas Certification.
The auditing performed as part of the process covered 21 processes and 101 IMS procedures that are executed in the facilities located in calle 73 and calle 61 (Bogotá), warehouse Pitalito (Huila), substation Tunal (Bogotá) and substation Altamira (Huila).
Bogotá, 28 September 2011. Empresa de Energía de Bogotá – EEB received once more the certification on its Integrated Management System on quality standards ISO 9001:2008 and NTCGP 1000:2009, environmental ISO 14001:2004 and safety and occupational health OHSAS 18001:2007.
During the audit leading this new certification carried out by Bureau Veritas Certification, it was highlighted that EEb efficiently implemented recommendations made in the previous certification carried out in 2007. Likewise, it was confirmed that the Integrated Management Systems meets all applicable requirements regarding audited standards, that the company has implemented them and the this management system is able to comply with the policy and reach the organization's objectives.
Strategic planning, design and development of the project South-West Reactors and the operation and maintenance of the transmission system, were, among others the aspects taken into account by the auditing company in order to issue certification again.
Also, there was evidence of good management when having to identify and assess investment opportunities, and follow up to management undertaken by GEB companies, of which it is responsible its administrator company and headquarters, and the efficient administrations of risks aligned with strategic planning.
It also took into account the establishment of an organizational culture through a leadership model led by HR, the sound condition adn functioning of the technical and in site infrastructure of all administrative facilities of the company and the focus and development of its Corporate Responsibility component.
With this certification, EEB ratifies its commitment with good entrepreneurial practices and with the execution of actions leading to the consolidation of an efficient management model, and at the same time, reaffirms its condition as an operational organization and headquarters of one of the leading corporation in the energy sector in Colombia, characterized by its strength, growth and good results.
