Empresa de Energía de Bogotá is awarded certification of Work & Life Balance from the European Institute on Social Capital.

This acknowledgement ratifies the company's commitment to the implementation of practices that benefit employees, in accordance with Global Compact Guidelines driven by the UN.

This is the second company to receive this certification in Colombia and the first in its sector.
Bogotá, 29 November.  Empresa de Energía de Bogotá –EEB, headquarters and manager of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, received the Work & Life Balance certification, from the European Institute on Social Capital - EISC, for its policies, programs and activities in human promotion, aimed at achieving better quality of life of its employees.

Around the world, companies like Coca-Cola, Microsoft, SAB Miller and McDonald’s, among other large corporations, have joined this initiative created in Germany in the mid nineties faced with the need of motivating and standardize human talent policies and management programs  in these large corporations.

In Colombia, EEB and the pharmaceutical Novartis are the only two certified companies in this Work Life Balance concept, understood as the right balance between work and personal lie.  For Mrs. Marielly Moya Espinosa, EEB Administrative VP, “driving this Life Balance is fundamental, because in addition to improving everyone's quality of life, it has positive effect in motivation and sense of belonging of our collaborators”.
Promoting Work Life Balance, is part of the EEB's strategy on corporate responsibility, which responds to Global Compact guidelines, driven by the UN, of which in Colombia, our company is leader and role model.

During the past six months, EEB was assessed by EISC experts, who analyzed 21 initiative of seven categories that include schedule and labor organization, communication and information policies, personal development, economic benefits, services to families, measuring and control systems and initiatives developed by the company.
