Grupo Energía de Bogotá - Fabio Chaparro Award celebrates its sixth version

Sixth version of Grupo Energía de Bogotá - Fabio Chaparro Award that acknowledges the best graduate programs on the energy sector in Colombia, Perú and Guatemala, countries where it operates.
Bogotá, 24 October 2012. Grupo Energía de Bogotá, through the Fabio Chaparro Awards, annual awards prices on innovation, research and construction papers in the natural gas and electricity sectors, prepared by undergraduate and graduate students from universities in Perú, Guatemala y Colombia.
In this sixth version, 40 papers were submitted, 25 from undergraduate students, 1 in specialization, 10 in masters and 3 PhD. The finalist of the undergraduate, specialization and masters categories will be recognized with COP15 million, according to the price received, and PhD student will receive COP20 million.
In addition to this financial price, the summaries of papers awarded the first price will be published in Grupo Energía de Bogotá's and affiliated Web page.
From its first version in 2007, over 150 students have participated in the Fabio Chaparro award. 23 prices have been awarded, and more than US$80 thousand in prices.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday 25 October at 5PM, in America room located in the first floor of Grupo Energía de Bogotá's facilites in Cra. 9 No. 73 – 44.
