Grupo Energía de Bogotá sets up information point in the municipality of Santa María - Huila

Bogotá, D.C., March 13, 2017. As a part of out contacts with the community living in the area of influence of the Project known as UPME 05 Tesalia - Alférez of 2099, Grupo Energía de Bogotá (GEB) will respond to the concerns of the inhabitants of the municipalities of Santa María - Huila, on March 13 and 14, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in an information point to be located in the Main Square of Santa María.
This point of information is purported to create venues for social dialogue and provide communities with information about the project with the aim of clarifying doubts related to social and environmental issues.
This project encompasses the design, construction and commissioning of a transmission line at 230 kV and its connection modules. The Project begins in the Tesalia Sub-station and will cover a total length of 201.5 km, along which 424 energy transmission towers will be erected in eleven municipalities of the departments of Huila, Tolima and Valle del Cauca.
Nowadays, the Project is holder of the Environmental License No. 1729, dated December 30, 2015, granted by the National Authority of Environmental Licenses (ANLA).
The Project will strengthen the energy service in the country's south-west area while improving connection with the National Interconnected System.
