Grupo Energía de Bogotá in solidarity with Mocoa

Bogotá, D.C., April 01, 2017. Grupo Energía de Bogotá wishes to express its solidarity to the people of Mocoa, affected by the painful flooding emergency that took place last Friday night, March 31 and its willingness to provide all the emergency relief supporting activities that might be required by the authorities.
With regards to how this tragedy has disrupted activities in the area, GEB reports that none of its employees was affected, however, the 230kV Mocoa Sub-station suffered considerable damages, which are currently under evaluation. This sub-station comprises the Mocoa-Altamira and Mocoa-Jamondino transmission line.
As soon as conditions may allow, repairs will be carried out in order to normalize energy services in the area. GEB is currently supporting Empresa de Energía del Putumayo and the Ministry of Mines and Energy to reestablish energy services.
