Bogotá, November 17, 2016.  Grupo de Energía de Bogotá is a leading company in the deployment of the "live wire" maintenance technique in high-end transmission projects.  This practice seeks to ensure a proper operation of projects while preserving service continuity.

Works on live wires involve not only the maintenance of transmission lines but also a disconnection of the line.  Grupo Energía de Bogotá is providing maintenance along 244 km of transmission lines, in the circuits of Guavio- Reforma 1-2, Reforma- Tunal 1-2 and Guavio- Circo 1-2, along with the replacement of 21.822 separators.

This work is increasingly more relevant to ensure quality, reliability and continuity in supplying energy and guaranteeing the service.  Apart from the benefit of preventing an energy shortage, this methodology also brings along sizable economic savings and optimization of resources and time for the Group.
