During a round table on Energy and Sustainability, GEB ratifies its commitment to sustainable development

Bogota, November 9, 2016. On Wednesday, November 4, Grupo Energía de Bogotá (GEB) participated in a round-table discussion on Energy and Sustainability in Colombia, addressing subjects such as how citizen participation is a core item for the strengthening of the country’s energy matrix. 

Called by Instituto de las Américas, this Round Table had valuable players from the Colombian Gas and Energy sector participating. It focused on the status of the implementation of the National Energy Plan 2050, the goals for the diversification of Colombia’s energy matrix, and the required efforts to improve community relations.

Juan Daniel Ávila, Sustainable Development Manager for Grupo Energía de Bogotá, stressed the important of establishing a genuine, permanent and transparent relationships with communities to make joint efforts to create shared value.

During this event, Grupo Energia de Bogota ratified its commitment to finding new ways to work from the energy sector in an environmentally sustainable manner, being this also sustainable for communities in the areas of influence where the company operates.
