First Business Meeting for Integration and Development Guatemala-Colombia

Guatemala, April 27th, 2017 Grupo Energía de Bogotá, through Transportadora de Energía de Centroamérica S.A. - TRECSA and EEB Ingeniería y Servicios S.A. - EEBIS, its Guatemalan subsidiary companies, presents the "Meetings for Integration and Development Guatemala- Colombia" program. 

Within the framework of the Guatemala's accession process to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which comprises 35 member countries and which mission is to promote policies geared to improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world, the program seeks to bring Guatemalan entrepreneurs together and create permanent spaces for dialogue with the purpose of sharing the experiences of Colombia in the process of joining the organization from the perspective of the business sector.

The "Meetings for Integration and Development Guatemala - Colombia" will address topics of interest to the business sector, such as good business practices in light of the OECD, the principles of corporate governance from this organization, public-private alliances, among other issues that contribute to the growth of Guatemalan companies and the development of the country. 

The first meeting was held on April 27th, 2017, and was attended by Dr. Antanas Mockus, Mayor of Bogotá from 1995 to 1997 and from 2001 to 2003, who shared his experiences on the success of implementing the public-private model in Empresa de Energía de Bogotá that nowadays, after 20 years, has resulted in the consolidation of Grupo Energía de Bogotá as one of the most important energy business groups in Latin America, which generates important benefits for its shareholders, including the Capital District of Bogotá - Colombia.
