EEB’s earnings reached COP 1.38 trillion as of October 2014 and dividends amounting approximately COP 1.1 trillion are expected to be decreed

Bogota, D.C., November 27, 2014. During its meeting held yesterday, the Board of Directors of Empresa de Energía de Bogotá S.A. ESP (EEB) approved the stand alone financial statements corresponding to the period comprising January 1 to October 31, 2014, in which it registered a net profit of COP 1.38 trillion, increasing by 63.7% with respect to that recorded as of December 31, 2013.
Similarly, the Board of Directors approved submitting to consideration of the Shareholders Assembly, which will be held on December 23, 2014, a project to distribute profits for the period comprising January 1 to October 31, 2014. This project contemplates a dividend payment amounting to COP 1.1 trillion, which means a dividend per share of COP 119.91, of which COP 105.26 correspond to regular dividends and a COP 14.64 to extraordinary dividends. This represents an increase of 86.4% compared to those dividends per share declared in March of this year.
The distribution project establishes the constitution of legal and occasional reserves as well as the release of reserves from previous years.

Mr. Ricardo Roa, EEB’s CEO exalted that the amount of net profit reported as of October 2014 reflects the excellent operational and commercial momentum of the activities EEB currently develops in the energy sector. Mr. Roa also highlighted the commitment of EEB to the permanent generation of economic, social and environmental value to Bogotá, its shareholders and other stakeholders.
