EEB awarded electric expansion project

- Empresa de Energía de Bogotá (EEB) was awarded the invitation to bid from UPME-01-2010 Alférez Substation 230 kV and related transmission lines
- This project is part of the expansion of the National Transmission System that will reinforce electricity services in the south west of the country.
The decision made by the Energy Mining Planning Unit (UPME) implies the design, acquisition of suppliers, civil works, mounting, tests, start-up and maintenance of the Alferez Substation and its related transmission lines to connect the substation to the Yumbo-San Bernardino line at 230.000 watts.
With this award, and the award of the Armenia Substation last week, Empresa de Energía de Bogotá continues its growth process supported by the Board and shareholders. Likewise, it strengthens its presence in the country's power sector and makes steady progress in its task of generating development and well being to Colombians.
