GEB Volunteers worked to give a new look to the park of Villas de Granada in the municipality of Engativá

Bogotá, D.C., June 29, 2017. Grupo Energía de Bogotá (GEB) and the District Institute for the Protection of Childhood and Adolescence (Idipron) and the community performed a revamp on the Park of Villas de Granada in the municipality of Engativá.
This activity was supported by the collaborators that comprise GEB's "United with Energy" volunteering team, which carried out housekeeping and painting activities throughout the park, with the purpose of revamping the park so that the inhabitants of Villas de Granada can enjoy a more pleasant and cleaner space.
In addition, Grupo Energía de Bogotá has carried out four public space recovery campaigns in the municipalities of Chapinero, Martires, Ciudad Bolivar and San Francisco.
Astrid Álvarez, president of GEB pointed out that “supporting these initiatives is part of the commitment of Grupo Energia de Bogotá towards the generation of shared value for the city. Our team of volunteers contributes to improving these spaces for all the people of Bogota”.
Today, the program “United with Energy” brings together 48 volunteers that put their time to the service of the communities, while as strengthen its social awareness, integration and leadership skills. GEB will continue to support these initiatives that are deeply rooted in its sustainable development policy which is aimed at increasing collaboration in all of the areas where the company is present.
