Grupo Energia de Bogota installed playgrounds for the children of Nariño
27 December 2016
Bogota, December 21, 2016. As part of its commitment with the welfare and the improvement on the quality of life of the inhabitants of the communities where it is present, Grupo Energia de Bogota (GEB) installed 10 playgrounds in the rural areas of the department of Nariño, with the aim to offer recreational alternatives for kids.
The playgrounds were installed in the municipalities of Iles, Contadero and Pupiales, bringing active fun to the kids of these areas.
For GEB, supporting these initiatives is fundamental given that it impacts the lives of the adults and children of rural settlements, who will be able to have access to a space of recreation and leisure, and to share as a family.
GEB is present in Nariño with two operating infrastructures, the first is called “Corredor Sur Occidente-Interconexión con Ecuador” (South-West Corridor-Interconnection with Ecuador), which connects the Betania Substation with the south of the country, running through the Cauca, Putumayo and Nariño departments; and the second is the “Mocoa - Jamondino” power line, that begins at the Jamondino substation, in the city of Pasto, and extends towards the Mocoa substation in the capital city of Putumayo.
