  • Since November 1st this year, EEB stock enters the sixteenth position of the BVC COLIR stock index, after having received the IR Recognition Award last September.


  • It also moved up three positions in COLCAP and it is now in position thirteen of the weighted COLCAP stock index.

Bogota, November 5, 2014.As from this week, the stock of Empresa de Energía de Bogotá S.A. ESP (EEB), head of  Grupo Energía de Bogotá, entered to  the Colombian Securities Exchange (BVC – for its Spanish acronym) COLIR stock index, which is made up by companies that have received the IR Recognition Award. This index is indicative of a positive valuation of 4.95% (YTD) during 2014. There are currently 29 companies that make up COLIR, and EEB will be on the sixteenth position with a 2.55% share.

In its recent quarterly index update, the BVC published information on 4Q 2014 basket corresponding to COLCAP, COLEQTY and COLIR, which entered into force since November 1st  2014 and will be in force until January 2015.

Such inclusion is the result of EEB having received on September 2nd the IR Recognition Award for good practices in Investor Relations. This distinction is granted by the Colombian Securites Exchange (BVC) to companies trading in the public stock market and that outstand for maintaining high standards in the disclosure of financial and non-financial information in a clear, timely and easily accessible manner, both in English and Spanish. 

Furthermore, EEB stock moved up three positions in the COLCAP index vis-à-vis the previous quarter, reaching position thirteen of the weighted COLCAP index as from this week. Mr. Ricardo Roa, CEO of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, expressed his satisfaction on this account and reiterated the commitment the company has to all its stakeholders.
